Mindful Self Compassion for Teens & Young Adults

The youth adaptation of Kristen Neff and Chris Germer’s internationally renowned Mindful Self Compassion program delivers 8 weeks of self-compassion training for young people aged 12-19. The course covers the three main components of self-compassion: mindfulness, common humanity and self-kindness whilst addressing issues relevant to teens of today. Teens learn how to tame their inner critic, set healthy boundaries in relationships, manage social media and comparison and connect with their values. Above all, they learn how to care for themselves in times of pain and suffering, using healthy strategies. Self-Compassion has been shown to reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression whilst improving individuals academic achievement, relationship health with parents and friends, resilience and overall wellbeing. Groups are available in-person or online with a minimum of 8 and maximum of 12 participants. Groups are structured with similar-aged peers to increase the possibility for new friendships to be formed and for discussion to remain relevant and appropriate
